About Linwood
Linwood Boomer is a veteran televison producer and comedy writer.  He is a major continuing donor to local area nonprofits like the Flossie Lewis House and Counseling West.  He is an enthusiastic supporter of the California Community Foundation, where his family’s Donor Advised Fund is located, and advocates in the show business community on their behalf.  Over the last decade Linwood has been involved in directing and funding various specific charity initiatives, including the Calfresh Outreach program at the LA Regional Food Bank, an app to report field conditions for the Red Cross, and a large-scale research project with UC San Diego and Focusing Philanthropy to evaluate different methods of addressing “Overhead Aversion.”   He is a former Board Director at California Careforce.

Reno Yu

About Reno
Reno Yu is the co-founder of Tremont Lane Capital Management LLC, a property and investment management company.  He previously co-founded ION ACTIF, a specialty women’s activewear company based in the greater Los Angeles area and committed to manufacturing locally.  Prior to starting ION ACTIF, Reno worked for several years as an investment banker focusing on corporate finance and capital raising for emerging market companies and governments.  Through ION ACTIF, Reno has previously collaborated with The Good Shepherd Center, a women’s shelter in Los Angeles.  He has a B.S. in Finance from NYU (1995) and an MBA from the Wharton School, UPenn (2001).

Dr. Winston Muditajaya

Dr. Winston Muditajaya is a practicing dentist at Whittier Square Dentistry (Whittier, CA) and Direct Dental (Pico Rivera, CA).  Dr. Muditajaya  attended the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of University of Southern California and graduated in 1997 as a Doctor of Dental Surgery.  In 2014 he received the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, recognizing the highest level of competence in implant dentistry in addition to his more than 20 years of experience in dentistry.  Outside of his practices, Dr. Muditajaya sits on the dental peer review/quality assurance committee of a dental insurance health organization.  A proud alumnus of U.S.C., Dr. Muditajaya served as a faculty member at the dental school from 1999-2003 and served as student staff of the U.S.C. Mobile Dental Clinic, which brings health services to underserved areas.

Swati Chandra

Swati Chandra has nearly 20 years of experience in marketing and general management.

She has led teams in the development and implementation of brand and consumer marketing strategies across leading media and consumer products companies, including Dow Jones, Scholastic, ZS Associates, and TATA Companies. Most recently she served as the general manager and global marketing lead at NZXT, a gaming company.

She also teaches marketing at the graduate level. She is currently working as an Executive Advisor with LA County.

Swati holds an MBA in finance from The Wharton School of Business and a B.S. in statistics from Delhi University.

Carol Laumen

Carol Laumen has served as a senior executive at a number of leading global organizations and non-profits. She has consistently delivered a record of extraordinary results in growth, revenue and operational performance in both the United States and Canada.

She has extensive experience in high-level operational initiatives for established corporations such as Mattel, M&M/Mars, USAA and the Annenberg Foundation.

Most recently, Carol was recruited to launch and lead a new break-through, high tech interactive pet adoption center. As General Manager of Annenberg PetSpace at the Annenberg Foundation in Los Angeles, Carol managed the total start-up from construction, planning, organization development, staffing, operations, marketing, advertising, volunteer management and public programming.

Carol was formerly a Board Member at Meals on Wheels in San Antonio, TX.

Carol has a B.Comm and M.B.A from the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Greg Pearl

Greg Pearl is an internationally recognized optometrist famed for his extensive volunteer work within the non-profit sector.

He is the Immediate Past President of VOSH International. He has led or participated on 40 week-long VOSH missions to Venezuela, Costa Rica, Columbia, Peru, El Salvador and mainland Mexico.

Greg currently lives and works in the Los Angeles area.


Melissa Tillman

With over a decade of experience as a trailblazer and successful leader in the Los Angeles nonprofit sector, Melissa Tillman is proud to serve as the new Executive Director of Healing California. Melissa is a relentless social justice advocate for vulnerable populations with extensive experience in education, foster care and homeless services. She holds an MBA in Nonprofit Management from the American Jewish University, where she received awards for academic achievement and leadership. Melissa also holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Communications.

Tom Burley is a nonprofit professional with a passion for innovative healthcare organizations. Born and raised in the UK, Tom has worked in development, volunteer management and program management roles within a variety of organizations across the non-profit and political sectors on both sides of the Atlantic. He holds a BA(Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Exeter (UK) and a MA in International Security from the University of Warwick (UK).

Michael Allen

Michael Allen is an experienced professional in the non-profit industry. Through his extensive experience with youth and family services, he has a successful track record of developing, leading and maintaining high quality programming. He holds a BS in Recreation and Park Administration from Illinois State University.

Jon is a California native with ample experience working with marginalized communities and the non-profit world; including education, program oversight and fund development. Jon holds a BA in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University.

Oriana John

Oriana John is a recognized community leader with over 20 years of experience in project and event management. An aptitude for technology and people skills is at the heart of Oriana’s success. In a 12-year career at Anthem, Inc., Oriana held numerous leadership roles. In her last position as Vendor Management Consultant, an international team project generated over half a million in savings. Oriana‘s dedication to helping others led to a successful transition to community leadership where she’s held numerous board positions.
