What Do We Do?
Our dental section aims to take patients out of pain, remove infection and put patients on the path to better oral health. We provide the tools, supplies and personal protective equipment you require so all you need to do is show up and provide life changing care! See the individual clinic page for more information.
We offer cleanings, fillings and extractions to our patients. At all dental clinics, we require:
- Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons
- General Dentists
- Dental Hygienists
- Dental Assistants
While we do always have a place at our clinic for postgraduate dental students, pre-dental are limited to non-clinical tasks. Dental schools and volunteer groups, should contact email@example.com to find out more.
What do we Do?
Our vision section provides eye exams, glasses fabrication and dispensing to our patients on site. To make it easier for the patients we serve, we generally try to dispense during the event. Our finishing equipment produces custom single vision glasses on site and we team with the Essilor Vision Foundation for any glasses that need to be sent off site.
We are in need of optometrists, ophthalmologists, ophthalmic techs, dispensing opticians and vision labs. While pre-optometry students are welcomed, they are limited to fabrication and dispensing.

What do we Do?
Medical professionals serve in our triage sections. You will be taking patient histories, vitals and making sure our patients are healthy enough to receive services.
Registered Nurses, LVN’s, EMT’s and other medical professionals are needed for this section. The requirements for other medical volunteers vary by the demands of the individual clinic.
Please sign up for volunteer email updates at the bottom of this page so you never miss a volunteer opportunity.
You don’t need to be a trained professional to be a vital part of the Healing California volunteer team. There are a variety of tasks that general volunteers can help out with at a clinic.
Because we are a healthcare organization, certain general volunteer roles are restricted to those with appropriate training. However, from setting up equipment to helping with patient registration, there’s a role for a variety of skill-sets within our clinics. There are a number of roles that do not require training or experience but still give you an important, hands on role.
